Men's athleisure ankle socks: Your go-to Performance socks

Let’s face it; it’s a hassle getting socks for different activities, as if shoes weren’t enough. Well, the good news is that there are alternatives that work just as well as athletic socks while being versatile enough to pass for casual ones. The thickness, softness, and lightness make these socks ideal for casual and sports-related activities. These socks will keep your feet bound within them to prevent movement within the socks and protect your feet from friction within the shoes when playing sports, working out or just on a long day.  They quickly pass as a casual-wear, and even formal.

1. What are ankle socks?

Ankle socks fall right at your ankle bone, so often they're visible when wearing low top shoes. They're preferred over crew length and longer socks during summer months because they trap less heat on your lower leg.

2. Are ankle socks same as no show socks?

Ankle socks are often confused with no-show socks but they are quite different. No-shows sit below the ankle and are meant to be hidden. Ankle socks sit on or slightly above the ankle and protect your heels and ankles from chafing.

3. Do guys wear ankle socks?

Yes, guys do wear ankle socks during exercise. Often, they'll be high ankle socks which means they'll show over the top of the trainer and up the leg. This is great for accenting a gym outfit but it's also more comfortable and may prevent the top of the trainer rubbing against the bare skin of the ankle and above it.

4. What is the difference between crew socks and ankle socks?

Crew socks are taller than ankle socks and are often worn around the mid-calf. These type of socks can be worn pulled all the way up or cuffed at the top. Crew socks come in various colors and have specific “ribs” or textures that work to help your socks stay up on your leg better.

5. Should men wear ankle socks with shorts?

There's nothing to hide the socks with shorts, so you have to pick socks that won't show. So, if you're wearing shoes, you still want socks. Going sockless with closed shoes is a whole mess of problems that none of us need. That said, your go-to for socks and shorts should be no-show socks.
